Jim McCarthy is a comics writer and artist best known for his work on 2000 AD (including Bad Company, Tharg's Future Shocks, Bix Barton, Kano, Kid CyBorg and The Grudge-Father) and for a number of biographical graphic novels about musicians (he is also a music journalist). He is the brother of comics artist Brendan McCarthy.
