History[]

Jean Grey, the mutant originally known as Marvel Girl and later as Phoenix, was one of the five founding members of the X-Men, and despite having died and returned a couple of times since, continues to be a mainstay of the team. While possessed by the alien entity known as the Phoenix, she was once one of the most powerful beings in creation.

The first appearance given is her first appearance in a British comic; her first US appearance was in X-Men #1 (1963).

Trivia[]

Jean's UK originated appearances were few and far between, and mostly confined to the titles published by Panini before Marvel stopped them from producing original Marvel related material.
