Jack Flash was the son of Mercury's leading scientist, but stole his father's experimental spaceship and headed for Earth in search of adventure. He spent several years fighting crime in the Cornish village of Colbay, which seemed to have a surprising amount of it. He eventually returned to Mercury, but he and his family later came to Earth on holiday.
