Ivor Lott and Tony Broke was a strip by Reg Parlett which originally appeared in IPC's short lived humour title Cor!! beginning with its first issue (6th June 1970) before transferring to the pages of Buster when the two comics were merged in 1974. It revolved around two young boys, the snobbish, spoiled, super rich Ivor Lott of Lott Hall and the poor but eternally cheerful Tony Broke from Broke Cottage (whose name is a play on the slang term 'stony broke', meaning penniless). Generally, Ivor would try to assert his superiority over Tony by showing off his wealth and extravagance, but Tony would get the upper hand and leave him looking a fool. Later, the comic Jackpot introduced a female version of the strip, Milly O'Naire and Penny Less, and following Jackpot's merger into Buster in 1982, the two strips were merged, Milly and Penny becoming Ivor and Tony's girlfriends. Hugely popular with readers, the boys remained fixtures in Buster until its final issue in January 2000, though the girls disappeared in 1987.
- Much later, the limited series Albion, which revived numerous IPC adventure characters, paid tribute to the strip with a small one panel in-joke: a bookmakers shop is seen, sporting the legend Anthony Broke, Turf Accountant.
