Insurrection is a serial by Dan Abnett and Colin MacNeil which began in the Judge Dredd Megazine in 2009, returning for a second run in 2011 and a third in 2013. Set on various offworld colonies run by Mega-City One, it concerns a rebellion by the colonists and the resident Judges of K Alpha 61 against the Mega-City regime. Their declaration of independence is sparked by the regime's failure to support the colony in repulsing an alien invasion, and its subsequent attempt to revoke the citizenship of the colony's mutants and uplifts (genetically augmented apes), despite the fact that the colony would have been lost without them. The result is war, Judge against Judge. One of the insurrectionist Judges is Zia Freely, who later resurfaced in the series Lawless.
