History[]
Inga is a character from the Judge Dredd strips in 2000 AD and the Judge Dredd Megazine. Apparently a strikingly attractive and creepily servile woman, she was in fact a custom-built Swedish sex droid who could change her appearance to suit her owner's predilections. As the sexual partner (or concubine, or sex toy) of serial killer PJ Maybe, who had purchased her from a second-hand shop in Panama, Inga assisted him in a number of murders, and in his campaign to become mayor of Mega-City One when he had adopted the identity of Byron Ambrose.
After PJ was elected mayor, Inga arranged several attempts on his life because she was worried that he was working too hard and she wanted him to have fun killing all those he suspected of wanting to murder him. When she told him what she had done, PJ was delighted by her thoughtfulness. He was also touched when she dressed up as Judge Hershey and pretended to arrest him, because he had been fantasising about being 'punished' by Hershey.
PJ Maybe seemed to regard Inga with something as close to affection as a psychopath can manage, but that may have been because he wasn't that fond of humans and he liked the fact that Inga never said a word out of turn. She was eventually killed by Judge Dredd with a hi-ex bullet in the Grand Hall of Justice while she was impersonating Judge Hershey and trying to kill Judge Sinfield, on PJ's orders. PJ seemed genuinely heartbroken at her death. Inga had expressed concerns that what PJ was ordering her to do was far too risky, but as a robot she was incapable of disobeying him.
Powers and abilities[]
Abilities
For a sex droid, she's surprisingly good at murdering people. And sex, of course.
Strength level
Superhuman.
Weaknesses
Has to do whatever PJ tells her.
Paraphernalia[]
Equipment
Selection of different faces, including what PJ calls her 'ugly face' for when she doesn't want to attract attention in public; camera that lets PJ see through her eyes.
Transportation
Hoverlimo; Montez Grande hotel bus; Brooglehoffer 4-18 (car); hovership; Strato-Benz Hovermaster.
Weapons
She can kill a Judge with her bare hands.
Notes[]
Inga may have been created to heighten the similarity between PJ Maybe and his antagonist Judge Dredd: both men have spent time living with a robot who adored them and would do anything for them (in Dredd's case, Walter), and the person whom both men love most, if that is an appropriate verb, is a young woman — in Dredd's case, Vienna.
Trivia[]
Inga was custom built by Per Lunquest, the virtuoso of the Swedish love droid. She is a series 7, worth approximately fifty million creds.
