Inferno was a sequel series to Harlem Heroes written by Tom Tully and drawn by Massimo Belardinelli, which ran in 2000 AD from prog 36 to prog 75, a total of 40 episodes. It was set in the year 2078. An extremely violent series, the cliffhanger scene in prog 68 (in which main character John 'Giant' Clay is doused in rocket fuel and about to be set alight by cyborg villain Artie Gruber) so incensed the management at Fleetway that it almost got the comic cancelled. See Harlem Heroes for more information.
