Synopsis for "The Black Knight"[]

Merlyn sends his mind wandering forth from Camelot and sees the Black Knight returning on Valinor with a mysterious cloaked figure behind him. Could it be Arthur? The knight Owein tells him that the enemy is at the gates. Weyland the smith gives him the Black Knight's reforged Ebon Sword. Vortigen appears with the five other Proud Walkers, who are Herne, Gwent, Gamael, Bran and Gael. Necromon climbs up from "the great rift" and insults Merlyn. The wizard and Vortigen give the order to attack.

Notes[]

Published by Marvel UK in May 1980.

Trivia[]

The Six Proud Walkers in The Black Knight seem to have the power of teleportation, so it's a shame they didn't use it to appear in the middle of Necromon's army and launch a surprise attack.
