Synopsis for "The Black Knight"[]
Being hit by his own magic has reduced Mordred to a frail old man who can't even remember who he is. The Black Knight tries to kill him, but Excalibur refuses to "slay a foe as helpless as this." Mordred wanders off into the woods, and his spell holding Moondog and the other elves captive wears off. Merlyn spends days nursing Captain Britain back to health.
