Synopsis for "The Black Knight"[]
Mandrac hits Merlyn with his war hammer, and realises that he has just hit a decoy. The real Merlyn uses a glowing orb to blind Mandrac, who is enraged and starts hitting out wildly with his war hammer, causing his warriors to flee in terror. The Black Knight takes advantage of the confusion to scoop up Captain Britain's body. One of Mandrac's blows opens another huge rift in the ground. Merlyn prods him with his staff and makes him fall in, sealing the chasm with a spell. Mandrac will remain buried until the spell is broken. Now Merlyn must focus on trying to resurrect Captain Britain before it is too late.
Notes[]
Published by Marvel UK in August 1979.
Trivia[]
It seems slightly unfair of Merlyn to imprison Mandrac for doing his job. On the other hand, Merlyn doesn't really do 'fair'.
