Herbtrimpe

Herbert 'Herb' Trimpe (1939 to 2015) is an American comics artist who worked for Marvel Comics from 1967 until 1996. He is best remembered for his lengthy run on the Incredible Hulk (for many, he is still the definitive artist on that series) and as the co-creator of Wolverine, but he also co-created Captain Britain and several of his enemies and supporting characters including Betsy Braddock, Jamie Braddock, Hurricane, Doctor Synne, Mastermind, Merlyn, Roma, Courtney Ross, Jacko Tanner, Sandy York, Emma Collins, Lance Hunter (who has since been reinvented as a character on the TV show Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D), Tod Radcliffe, Hugo Travis, Valerie Campbell and the Reaver for Marvel UK. His run on Captain Britain weekly also gave him the opportunity to treat British audiences to his renditions of numerous pre-existing Marvel characters, including Captain America and the Red Skull. He died on 13th April 2015.
