History[]
A former carnival performer trained in archery by, er, the Swordsman (!), Hawkeye was originally duped into becoming a villain by Russian spy the Black Widow, but later reformed and became a mainstay of the Avengers. He once quit, claiming he'd had enough of teams and was going it alone from now on, but he immediately joined the Defenders so it seems he really wasn't cut out for the life of a solo adventurer. For a time, Hawkeye traded in his bow and arrows for the growth serum developed by Hank Pym (Ant Man) and operated as the second Goliath, but archery has always been his main area of expertise.
Powers and abilities[]
Powers
On occasion, size control bestowed by Hank Pym's Pym Particles.
Paraphernalia[]
Weapons
Bow and arrows, obviously. Many of his arrows have customised heads capable of delivering explosives, gas, or deploying nets. What do you mean, "that wouldn't work"!!!?
Notes[]
Most, but not all, of Hawkeye's appearances in British comics have been reprints of American material.
