Guinea Pig was a strip originally published in Eagle (although some strips were later reprinted in 2000 AD and Starlord Annuals) about a man named Mike Lane who was employed by a Professor Dee to test new technological advances. Some of these involved driving new types of vehicle and others temporarily gave him superpowers such as tremendous strength, super-speed, clairvoyance, invisibility or even lycanthropy, often through chemical means. The strip was originally written by Willie Patterson, though Bob Bartholomew, Alf Wallace, Tom Tully, David Motton and Frederick Smith all wrote later installments. It was originally drawn by Colin Andrew, then by Brian Lewis, though the longest serving artist was Gerry Haylock.
