History[]
Gobber was a character in the 2000 AD strip Bad Company. A friendly native of the planet Ararat, he joined the renegade group known as Bad Company to fight against the Krool. This was presumably on the grounds that, of the two groups fighting for control of Gobber's planet, the humans were the least bad.
Gobber acted mainly as a guide for the group but also went on several scouting missions alongside Kano. He was killed when the Krool attacked a human base — a bomb hit the ground near him, and he was caught in the blast. Later, when what remained of Bad Company had departed Gobber's home planet, it exploded. The poor little creep never had much luck...

Gobber's chewing gum-like spit could harden in seconds.
Abilities
Due to being a native of Ararat, Gobber was resistant to many of the planet's disturbing effects, such as the hallucinogenic Plains of Golgotha.
