History[]
The creature known only, rather unfairly, as "Frankenstein's Monster" (or "the Monster of Frankenstein" or, since some confusion has arisen over the years over the fact that the original novel was actually named after the scientist rather than his creation, just "Frankenstein") was created in the early 1800's by the slightly demented scientist Victor Frankenstein, who created life by the unlikely method of stitching together parts of stolen corpses and then running a massive electrical charge through the resultant patchwork body. The creature's brain (original donor unknown) was damaged, leaving the creature initially unable to speak and given to bouts of frightening rage (not that anyone could blame him). However, he was actually more misunderstood than evil, which didn't stop his creator from trying to kill him. Following Victor's death, the Monster was last seen heading off into the Arctic to die, but has since returned.

Notes[]
Frankenstein's Monster has appeared in multiple comics by multiple publishers all over the world. There were even two entirely separate versions of the character published by Marvel, one of whom actually turned out to be an alien robot who fought the X-Men(!)
Trivia[]
Frankenstein's Monster should not be confused with the ever so slightly less serious Frankie Stein.
