History[]

Fire-Raiser is a character from the 2000 AD strip Nemesis the Warlock. He was originally a robot fire engine, but the bigoted human Terminators removed most of his brain and reprogrammed him to make him a weapon of war. Now, when he heard the sound of his bells, it made him want to burn down everything he could see.

Fire-Raiser was deployed on the planet Demotika to besiege the Basilisks (peaceful tree-dwelling aliens), along with Mek-Quake, the Torquearmada and Trebuchet. They were commanded by Sir Evric. Fire-Raiser inadvertently did his bit to help the Basilisks when he got confused in a dust storm conjured by Nemesis the Warlock and set fire to the Torquearmada, causing it to explode.
