Susquatch was the last of a tribe of abominable snowmen who had been befriended by Passing Cloud, an old Indian shaman who used a flute to keep him calm. Passing Cloud's people, also now extinct, had previously called on the beasts to aid them against white settlers who were stealing their land, but the fact that both Passing Cloud's tribe and Susquatch's died out seems to indicate that they met with little success. Susquatch's terrible luck continued true to form when he first got into a fight with the Hulk, then was shot dead by trappers who were hunting the Hulk himself. Passing Cloud died soon afterwards.
