Three annuals based on Blake's 7 were published by World Distributors, in 1978, 1979 and 1980 for 1979, 1980 and 1981. All of these contained illustrated text stories rather than strips, although it appears that clearance was only obtained for the likenesses of the actual seven; villainess Servalan looks nothing like actress Jacqueline Pearce's version of the character as seen on TV, and while her sidekick Space Commander Travis (who appears only in the second annual) does occasionally resemble actor Brian Croucher, he's swapped his trademark eyepatch for a van Dyke beard. The annuals reflected the cast changes in the TV show, so Blake himself does not appear in the third one, he and Jenna Stannis having been replaced by Del Tarrant and Dayna Mellanby.
