History[]
Fey Truscott-Sade was an agent of the British government in the 1930s, who became an ally of the Eighth Doctor. Kidnapped by the Threshold, she had a mind-control device implanted in her which allowed them to use her to spy on the Doctor and his companion Izzy Sinclair, but the Doctor realised she was under external control when she demonstrated an understanding of the TARDIS's systems which should not have been possible. The Doctor faked a regeneration with the assistance of the shadow man Shayde in order to escape the attention of Fey's controllers.
When the Threshold finally confronted the Doctor, they released Fey, but when Shayde was mortally wounded by the creature called Pariah, Fey saved him by physically merging with him. The Doctor called this new combined being (which still retained the consciousness of both Fey and Shayde) 'Feyde'.
Returning to Earth in 1939, Fey resumed her previous career, fighting the Nazis as Feyde. She had a curious love/hate relationship with Shayde, whom she resented for not allowing her to use their shared powers to change history by killing Adolf Hitler.
In a later encounter with the Doctor, Fey helped him to track down the missing Izzy, and helped Izzy come to terms with the fact that she was gay.
Still later, the Doctor drafted Feyde in to fight in the Time War, and talked her into unwillingly committing an atrocity which caused her to subsequently turn against him. At this point, she claimed that Shayde was "no longer with her". It subsequently became clear that Fey and Shayde had been separated by Fey's great-nephew, the insane Alexander Truscott. Her mind damaged by her experiences, Fey nonetheless saved the day but was left dying; Shayde gave up his life to save her, leaving the now powerless Fey with no memory of her time as Feyde or her participation in the Time War. The Doctor left her in present day London.
