Father Christmas appears to be an immortal, magical being whose job is to travel the world on Christmas Eve on a flying sleigh pulled by gravity-defying reindeer, delivering presents to children who have been good. How he does this is unclear. Why he does this, bearing in mind that most parents buy their kids stuff anyway, is equally unclear.

Father Christmas (now more commonly called Santa Claus) has appeared in comics from pretty much every significant publisher over the years, including a starring role in his own 1973 graphic novel by Raymond Briggs. He has met everyone from The Doctor (in TV Comic) to Marvelman to Judge Dredd. The details vary from one interpretation to another, but the basics remain the same.
