History[]
A mutant born in New Britain after an atomic war, Evans was (along with Middenface McNulty, The Torso from Newcastle, Clacton Fuzz, Studs Boyce and Johnny Alpha) one of the generals in the mutant army which led an uprising against Nelson Bunker Kreelman and his anti-mutant policies in 2167 AD.
Following the war, Evans joined most of his comrades in becoming a Search/Destroy Agent — a mutant bounty hunter, or 'Strontium Dog'. His activities following this are largely unrecorded (apart from his rôle in helping to find the mutant terrorist William Blood Moon), but he did resurface to aid his former comrade Johnny Alpha against Kreelman when the villain reappeared looking for revenge. He was also a commanding officer in the second mutant war.
Johnny Alpha ended the second mutant war by blowing himself up in the norms' parliament building, which contained the architects of a plan to render New Britain's mutants sterile. Evans, Middenface McNulty and a badly injured Johnny were all captured by the norms and held in a top-security prison on an island for fourteen months. Evans and Middenface were, in effect, used as hostages to ensure that Johnny complied with his captors' desire for him to hunt down the missing despot Jim Jing Jong, thus averting a nuclear world war.
After being released from prison, or possibly escaping, Evans fled to the mutant free planet of Freedonia. He earned his living as a freelance trouble-shooter after his bounty-hunting licence was revoked by the norms, and took on jobs such as repossessing an asteroid (as detailed in the story 'Repo Men').

- Evans' right arm, which is extremely powerful, grows out of the side of his head as a result of his mutation.
