Ellie De Ville was a comics letterer, which made her one of the unsung heroes of the comics medium. She worked extensively for 2000 AD and the Judge Dredd Megazine, as well as for titles from various British and American publishers including Revolver (on Dan Dare), Sonic the Comic, The Minx, Star Wars, Steed & Mrs Peel, Heart of Empire, Propellerman, Vermillion, Time Breakers, The Trenchcoat Brigade, Lucifer, Tank Girl:Apocalypse, Accident Man, Unknown Soldier, Aliens, Flex Mentallo, Millennium Fever, Ring of Roses and Marvel UK's Black Axe. Her work can be distinguished by her backwards Q. She passed away on 24th December 2019 aged 72, a victim of pancreatic cancer.
