Eagle Comics was a London based publisher set up in 1983 by Nick Landau in order to publish US format reprints of material from 2000 AD for the American market (and, indeed, the British direct market). The company was dissolved in 1986 after losing the 2000AD reprint licence to Quality Communications, who launched a new line of reprints under the name Quality Comics. Their Judge Dredd title became a Quality publication for its last two issues (#34 and #35) before relaunching with a new number #1.
