History[]
The Dukes of Hazzard was a popular American TV series which, for seven seasons from 1979-1985, charted the action-packed and comedic adventures of good ol' boys Bo and Luke Duke, their cousin Daisy and family patriarch Uncle Jesse (and, for a brief period, replacement cousins Coy and Vance Duke while the actors who portrayed Bo and Luke were in a dispute with the management over pay) as they contested with the devious schemes of corrupt mayor Boss Hogg and his puppet Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltraine in Hazzard County, Georgia. The series spawned several comics spin-offs, including a serial which ran in TV Comic, and six editions of the Dukes of Hazzard Annual. In a rather odd move, in 1985 Marvel UK obtained a license to reprint The Dukes of Hazzard strip from TV Comic in Spider-Man Comic.
