History[]
Dr. Who was, unlike The Doctor, apparently a human scientist who, in the 1960s, built a space/time machine disguised as a Metropolitan Police telephone box in his back garden. Accidentally transported (along with his two granddaughters Suzie and Barbara, and also Barbara's boyfriend Ian Chesterton) to the planet Skaro, Dr. Who battled and defeated the deadly Daleks in order to assist the peace-loving Thals.

The TARDIS.
Notes[]
- The 1995 Marvel UK Doctor Who Spring Special featured in-depth features on the two 1960s Dalek movies where this version of The Doctor first appeared (plus an all-new comic strip adventure), while Doctor Who Classic Comics #9 actually reprinted the 1966 Dell Comics adaptation of the 1965 movie Doctor Who & the Daleks starring Peter Cushing. The character is distinctly different from his more famous TV incarnation(s).
- The movie was also adapted in the Dr. Who and the Daleks colouring book.
- Dr. Who returned for a one-off adventure in Doctor Who Magazine Vol 1 578.
Trivia[]
Dr. Who is apparently a fan of the classic British comic The Eagle.
