History[]
Dogbrain is a character in the 2000 AD strip Bad Company. He was once a human soldier who was fighting against the Krool on the planet Ararat. At some point he was captured and experimented upon, losing his identity and becoming a ferocious human/dog hybrid.
Danny Franks first caught sight of the ferocious Dogbrain tearing through both Krool and War Zombies alike. After joining the renegade squad Bad Company, led by the mysterious Kano, he learnt of Dogbrain's history and that he would only respond to Kano's commands.
Dogbrain died during the final assault against the Krool, tearing ferociously into the Krool soldiers before he was eventually shot down.
Years later when Franks had become the Krool Heart, some of the Krool were remade in the image of Dogbrain.
