History[]
Dr. Reginald De Moto was a physical fitness instructor at Mega-City University, until the apathetic attitude of his students drove him crazy. Reinventing himself as Doctor Demotivator, he dedicated his life to slaughtering the indolent citizens using a device of his own invention which made them too lazy even to draw breath. Escaping capture by the Judges and fleeing to the Euro-Cities, he returned to Mega-City One as the secret leader of a religious movement intended to destroy the city by promoting sheer laziness. Unfortunately, Judge Joseph Dredd overcame the effects of his Demotivator device and destroyed it, sparking a riot in which Reginald was trampled to death.

The not so good Doctor was almost certainly named in tribute to former GMTV fitness instructor Derrick Errol Evans, better known (in the nineties, anyway) as Mr Motivator.
