Department K are a Department of specialists within Justice Department's Tek Division, tasked with dealing with interdimensional threats. The peculiar nature of their work tends to result in them being mavericks as far as their fellow Judges are concerned, and therefore granted a certain amount of individualism normally frowned upon in Judges. Members of the team include Judge Kirby, Judge Afua, Judge Estabon (a Mechanismo robot Judge) and Blackcurrant (an alien).

Department K were first introduced in a one-off story before graduating to their own series in 2000 AD Vol 1 2234.
