David Hine, whose blog can be found here, is an English comics writer and artist. He has contributed to many British comics. For Knockabout Comics he drew Riot; for Warrior #26 he did the inks for Big Ben, The Man With No Time for Crime; and for Marvel UK he did the inks on Transformers #75, Spider-Man and Zoids #47, Death's Head #2-3, Warheads: Black Dawn #2 and Dark Angel #11-13. Hine also did the inks on 'Gas Masque!' in Action Force #23, and 'Claws of the Klathi' in Doctor Who Magazine #136-138.
For the short-lived magazine Crisis David Hine drew the series Sticky Fingers and the one-off story Didn't you love my brother?. He both wrote and drew two other single-episode stories for Crisis, entitled Up on the roof and (rather chillingly) Worms. The Revolver Horror Special got a story he'd written and drawn called Martin.
David Hine also works for 2000 AD. He drew one of Tharg's Future Shocks and both wrote and drew another. (You never hear of Tharg himself writing or drawing one, do you?) Hine illustrated Tao de Moto in its entirety, wrote and illustrated Mambo, and drew episodes of The Spider (in the 2000 AD Action Special), Maniac 5 (in the 2000 AD Sci-Fi Special), Judge Dredd and Vector 13. In 2023, he returned to the title with a new series, Void Runners.
Possibly embittered by a Betelgeusian egomaniac taking all the credit for his labours, he at one point went to work for obscure foreign publishers Marvel Comics and DC Comics, before writing The Dark Judges for the Judge Dredd Megazine.
