Synopsis for "He Who Dares part one"[]
Dan Dare finally defeats the Mekon and imprisons him on the moon. Amazingly, the Mekon appears to have turned over a new leaf: he is now a peaceful grower of vegetables (which he donates to orphanages), who refuses the chance to escape when some pro-Mekon fanatics try to rescue him. Dan Dare becomes increasingly bored and frustrated as Earth enters a new age of peace and prosperity. His friends and comrades are busy getting on with their lives, but for Dare, a life without combat has little meaning. Fortunately, a massive Treen ship is about to enter the solar system and destroy Triton, one of Neptune's moons. Could this be the answer to Dare's prayers?
