The Comet was a weekly comic first published by Cheshire based firm J.B Allen on 20th September 1946. Originally a mostly humour based title, it switched to being an adventure comic when it was taken over by the Amalgamated Press in 1949. Characters that appeared over the years included Jet-Ace Logan, Kit Carson, Buffalo Bill, Robin Hood and Battler Britton. It ceased publication on 17th October 1959 and was merged into Tiger. Its sister title was Sun.
