Cindy Wu was an ordinary American teenager until her friend Gabriella Gonzalez met the time traveller known as The Doctor. After that, Cindy's life began to get weird as she found herself increasingly drawn into Gabby's strange new life, until finally Cindy herself ended up stranded in an alien arena with Gabby, the Doctor and Captain Jack Harkness, facing the power of Mr. Ebonite. With Ebonite defeated, Cindy joined Gabby aboard the Doctor's TARDIS.
