Champ was a weekly anthology title published by D.C. Thomson from 1984 to 1985, the last traditional boys' adventure comic launched by the company to date. Strips featured included The Bleak Street Bunch and Iron Barr (both from Spike, which merged with Champ in May 1984), Kids Rule-OK, Puss 'n' Boots (reprints from Sparky), Send for Kelly (reprinted from Topper), The Sinister World of Mr Pendragon (by Mike Dorey) and We Are United (a strip by Peter Foster which featured characters from other D.C. Thomson titles, including Iron Barr and Limp-Along Leslie). It also featured a humour section, Dennis the Menace's Fun Section, introduced by Beano star Dennis the Menace and featuring reprints from other titles.
