Mad Scientists

Scientists with poor judgement who lack impulse control, common sense and an appreciation of the importance of collaboration (i.e. having other scientists around to tap you on the shoulder and say, "That's a horrifically bad idea"), but who nevertheless go ahead and do science anyway.
