Synopsis for "And The Highwayman Came Riding, Riding...!"[]
Captain Britain summons all his mental strength and commands his physical hand, back on Earth, to clasp the Amulet of Right. This generates enough mystical energy to reunite his astral form with his body. While Lance Hunter and the S.T.R.I.K.E. medical team aren't looking (because they think he's dead) he gets dressed, takes his Star Sceptre and leaves the building. The Manipulator watches Queen Elizabeth II drive past and muses about his evil plan. Brian Braddock, walking back to Thames University, is accosted by Jacko Tanner, on his way to visit Courtney Ross in hospital. Brian hitches a lift in Jacko's car. They witness the Highwayman cleave a lorry in twain with twin beams of laser-born fury. When they catch up with him he throws an exploding stud at their car, causing them to crash.
Notes[]
Published by Marvel UK in June 1977.
Trivia[]
This episode's title comes from the poem The Highwayman by Alfred Noyes. However, the highwayman in the poem isn't a chuckling Cockney, and he doesn't ride a motorbike.
