Synopsis for "Will You Never Win?"[]
The Red Skull survives being dropped from a great height, and teleports away. At Downing Street, prime minister James Callaghan tells Dai Thomas that Captain Britain only stole his police car because he needed it to save all of London. Dai is unimpressed. On board the S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier, Hunter, Fury, Captain Britain and Captain America receive a video call from President Jimmy Carter congratulating them. The British and US teams part company. Hunter asks Captain Britain to join S.T.R.I.K.E., but he turns him down. Hunter, however, is secretly convinced that pressure from the police force will mean that Captain Britain will have to become one of his agents. Captain Britain falls asleep in a taxi, remembers his origin story, wakes up, and runs away from the taxi driver when he realises he isn't carrying any money. Safely back in his flat, he looks at a letter from Robert Scott and remembers making him a radio-controlled hawk. Fifty miles north, the deranged Professor Scott sends his hawk to attack a factory.
Notes[]
Published by Marvel UK in April 1977.
Trivia[]
The Red Skull's continued survival is impressive, given that the art in the previous issue made it look as if his brains had been splattered over the pavement beneath Big Ben.
