History[]
Cador the Dodman is a character from the 2000 AD strip Sláine. He was an elderly magician who worked alongside Myrddin protecting the human world from the likes of the Drune Lords and the Cythrons. He met Sláine, Ukko and Nest during a carriage ride at one point, shortly before Sláine obtained The Knucker (a huge bull dragon).
Shortly thereafter, Cador was captured by Cythron agents and tortured by the Cyth General Myraakothka, hoping to obtain information on how to destroy Myrddin. Cador stayed stubborn however, as his mind was slowly burnt away, eventually becoming a brain-damaged husk and kept as a drooling pet by Myraakothka.
The Drune Lord known as the Lord Weird Slough Feg disguised himself as Cador and took the magician's place by Myrddin's side. Feg's subterfuge worked so well that he successfully captured Myrddin and his allies. He also killed Brotor, another of Myrddin's assistants.
