Buck Dollar is a character from the 2000 AD strip Shako. He was a "half-Eskimo ecologist" who worked for the CIA in the Arctic and spent most of the time being condescending to his superior officers, such as Jake K. Falmuth (possibly because Falmuth was a loud-mouthed jerk). He didn't really do much in the story till the final act called him in to kill Shako, despite having stopped several attempts on the bear's life already. Regardless, Dollar stabbed Shako with a spear before being crushed to death by the weight of Shako's body.
