History[]
Jaime Sommers was a professional Tennis player who, after a near fatal accident, was rebuilt as a cyborg by the Office of Scientific Information, a branch of US Intelligence. While working as a schoolteacher as a cover, Sommers was recruited as a reluctant secret agent. She had an on-off romance with fellow cyborg agent Steve Austin. She also owns a bionic German Shepherd called Max. Because every girl needs a pet.

American TV star the Bionic Woman appeared in numerous UK originated comics stories in the 1970's and early 80's in Look-In (from 7th August 1976-24th May 1979) and in Brown Watson's Bionic Woman Annuals. She also appeared in the strip Bionic Action in Look-In in 1979, co-starring with Steve Austin.
