Morley

Allan Morley (1895-1960) was a Yorkshire born comics artist who began working for DC Thomson in 1925, drawing comic strips for the Sunday Post. He went on to draw for Thomson's story papers, including Nero and zero for Wizard and Nosey Parker for Rover, but is best known for his work on Beano and Dandy from the 1930s to the 1950s, on strips including Keyhole Kate, Hungry Horace, Big Fat Joe and Freddie the Fearless Fly. He was one of the very few artists allowed to actually sign his work, and indeed, was the first of Thomson's artists to do so.
