The 2000 AD Winter Special was a title published annually by Fleetway from 1988-1990 and from 1992-1995, and later picked up by Rebellion in 2005 (though they did not publish another until 2014). The 1995 edition was titled 2000 AD Alternity Winter Special, and consisted of alternate universe versions of 2000 AD characters including Judge Dredd. The 1993 edition included the pilot episodes of two new stories, Canned Heat and Tracer, both of which were originally intended for a never published 2000 AD companion title. The 1995 edition featured the first appearance of Sinister Dexter.
