2000addiary

The 2000 AD Diary 2000 was exactly what it said on the tin (or rather, on the cover): a satisfyingly large and chunky hardcover diary for the year 2000, published by Hamlyn in late 1999, which featured numerous full page mini posters and more than 50 articles ("micro guides") about 2000 AD strips and characters past and present, including Sam C Slade, The Apocalypse War, Fink Angel, Judge Dredd, The Balls Brothers, Bix Barton, Venus Bluegenes, Anderson, Psi-Division, Brigand Doom, Finn, Nikolai Dante, Sinister Dexter, Mercy Heights, Skizz, Armoured Gideon, Nemesis the Warlock, Firekind, Chopper, Necropolis, Missionary Man, Button Man, Strontium Dog, Sláine MacRoth, D.R. & Quinch, Mambo, Zenith, Pulp Sci-Fi, Devlin Waugh, Halo Jones, ABC Warriors, Outlaw, Black Light, Dark Judges, Rogue Trooper, Rico Dredd, Sancho Panzer, Space Girls, Red Razors, Mazeworld, The Dead Man, Vector 13, Canon Fodder, B.L.A.I.R 1, Junker, Bad Company and Durham Red, plus a compressed history of the comic year by year, and two pages of selected creator profiles. The diary, a limited edition of 2000 (of course), was introduced by 2000 AD editor David Bishop, who explained that they had done it because "how many comics have an entire year named after them?"
